Hello Everyone! It is time to mark your calendar and get ready to walk, roll and stride at the Striding with Hope After Brain Injury Walk on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at 9:00 am!

We are a faith-based non-profit located in Arlington, Texas, dedicated to improving recovery outcomes for all brain injury survivors throughout local communities, statewide, and globally.  Our goal is to help raise awareness and support for our programs designed to educate, equip, and encourage all those who suffer from any form of traumatic brain injury.

It can happen in the blink of an eye, a car wreck, a fall, or a sports injury that dramatically changes the course of one’s life, just like what happened to Kailey Tesdahl.  In June of 2018, Kailey and her sister were on their way to Kailey’s high school graduation when a terrible car crash altered their destination. Sadly, she now faced a harrowing, life-changing journey from severe injuries and a traumatic brain injury that happened in one brief instant. Growing up in a small town in Texas, Kailey and her family had a robust support system from many people who loved them.  That community has continuously rallied and celebrated through every step of Kailey’s recovery progress!

Every year the lives of millions of people and their families can suddenly change by the devastating impact of a traumatic brain injury.  Whether someone suffers from a mild, moderate, or severe brain injury, having ongoing support and access to vital health resources from the beginning is essential for a more successful long-term recovery. We aim to make sure every brain injury survivor feels understood, informed, encouraged, loved, and given the right tools and resources throughout their recovery process.

“All brain injury survivors and their families need the kind of community and family support Kailey experienced in her small town.”

We are excited to raise awareness of the substantial need for our brain injury support programs.  Our programs include health information seminars, webinars, podcasts featuring TBI survivor Patti Foster, personalized TBI counseling, and access to health resources and professionals in your community no matter where you are.

Your charitable donations will support our outreach efforts and, as a result, contribute to raising $25,000 for our unique brain injury-based programs. Reaching our goal means event attendees can take part in the annual brain injury conference at no charge.  Plus, we will award twenty-four individual counseling sessions for survivors and their families. In addition, we will develop and distribute twelve hope video lessons and educational podcasts featuring TBI survivor Patti Foster and her featured guest speakers.  We publish each production on our website for all survivors, families, and caregivers to access at no charge.

On June 6th, 2021, the town of Burleson, Texas, invites everyone to join Kailey Tesdahl as we support survivors of traumatic brain injuries at the Striding with Hope After Brain Injury Walk!  You will hear from TBI survivor Patti Foster as the MC for our local media and radio programs during the event. Registration begins at 8:00 am at Mayor Vera Calvin Plaza in Burleson. The admission fee is $25.00 for participants, $500 for exhibitors, and sponsorship opportunities are available as well.

We will start walking around the square beginning at 9 am.  Team pictures will coordinate at 10 am, and we will be wrapping up our morning around 11:00 am.  If you do not live in the Dallas Fort Worth area and would like to contribute through our online donations, sponsorship’s, or by sharing your story with us, please email Dr. Deana Adams at [email protected]

We inspire to make a much-needed positive change throughout the brain injury community.  We would love to ask your help to please share our mission and help us reach our goals to improve survivors’ lives! You will find us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.  Thank you! We appreciate your support!
